Milan Art Institute Mastery Program - May 2024 update
I'm six months into the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program and loving it. I've completed the first section of learning oil painting techniques and refreshing my drawing skills, learning and using new materials and old familiar materials. I'm currently in the second section, mixed media, and enjoying it. I've been honing my process and figuring out my style. Lots and lots of practice. I'm currently taking a break for a couple of months, but when I get back I'll have more abstract paintings for critique and preparing to start my 30-piece portfolio in part 3-4 of the course.

Exciting Update! (November 2023)
As my followers know, I am a self-taught abstract artist. I have decided to level up my art skills by taking a year-long professional artist program at Milan Art Institute. What does this mean? Expect to see some different types of art coming out of my art studio -- oils, drawings, mixed media, and of course, more acrylics. I expect that abstract art will remain part of my style, but I'll be producing a variety of art formats while I find my voice and further develop my style. I can't wait to get started in a couple of weeks. Stay tuned for updates.
July 28th Exhibit
Four of my original paintings will be on exhibit and available for purchase on July 28, 2023 at the Stonewall Women's Fund Event, "I've got the music in me." Pictured is Summer Rainbow Flow, 24x24" acrylic on canvas.

For my second year participating in this event, two of my fantasy universe paintings sold at the Wilton Art® artsquare12x12.2023 fundraiser art auction that took place in February 2023.Half the proceeds were donated to support the local arts.
